Minutes:
We had a wonderful KarnaGoshthi meeting this Saturday.
We used the same teleconferencing facility provided by
Aashutosh jee as a primary tool along with yahoo
conference and karnagoshthi group chat. We had a good
number of attendees which made meeting very
interesting.
I am pleased to inform all of you about what we
discussed during one and half hour long meeting.
1. We formed a committee who will look on the
scholarship applications. They will decide
whom/when/how much scholarship will be given. The
committee will review application after 15th May (let
me remind you the scholarship applications cut off
date is 15th May). Committee will come up with results
not later than 15th June 05.
Here are the names of the committee members:
Rajneesh Das and his Father-in-law – USA
Ashutosh Das – India
Nitin Kumar – England
Shambhu Das – India
Bawan Karn - USA
We encourage you to send the applications whom you
think as a deserving student, you still have a week.
Indu jee was bit busy today with his personal work but
he managed to attend the meeting. He said we have to
encourage female candidate and all attendees agreed on
that.
2. We also bring up two contact person to whom you can
send donation for karnagoshthi. Donating members who
are abroad can send check to Kaushal jee in USA and
members who are in India/Nepal can send check/money
order/draft to Ashutosh jee in India. We will send you
their detailed address later.
3. We again discussed on Aashutosh jee’s ambitious
plan of supporting students through some kind of
mentoring process through our help. We have to find
some members who want to volunteer for this from
India. Sanjeev jee, Praveen jee and others are you
ready for this, I bet you are.
4. Mithlesh jee (Texas) will collect documents on: how
Karnagoshthi can be registered as a not-for-profit
organization in USA. He will also find out how we can
have an organizational account in USA and India.
Ashutosh jee will find the same from India.
