Dr Janak Kishore Das is a multifacet personality. He is a educationist, poet, writer and social worker all in one.
He has written several poems both in Hindi and Maithili. He has also provided active support in literacy mission.
As a student he also participated in 1942 Independence Movement and provided support in peasant movement of
Madhubani for which he was even Jailed during Chakdah (Madhubani) Kisan Satyagrah.
He has published "Bhalsarik Phool" ( Collection of maithili short stories) and " Dillik Sarak Par "(collection of Maithili poems)
