Dear KarnaGoshthi Members,
After much discussion, lots of deliberation and with lots of hassle finally we got two types of greeting cards with Mithila Paitntings printed.
Thanks to CK Karn ji , Indu ji and everyone else who helped in this
initiatives.
A small however a really important achievement. I was in India for a month. As far as my research goes this is unique and we are first forum who have reached this far and able to do something concrete.
I am in process of getting 2 more types of card printed.
The total cost for this endevor so far is around Rs 20,000
(for 4000 cards roughly 5 Rs each). This type of volume was necessary to keep cost down .
We are going to put those card for sale throgh website. However at this point we have decided to sell these cards as follows
IN USA and abroad : 20 Cards for 10 $ + 4 $ postage = 14 $
In India 20 cards = 200 Rs + 50 Rs postage = 250 Rs.
I am requesting every member to buy this card and use it for various
purpose, includign comping Holi, Birthday , Deewali and for new year.
As all of you know this is a way to raise fund for KarnaGoshthi for various activites and also to promote Mithila Paintings.
